SUBMISSIONS

At Gavialidae, we take unsolicited submissions of unpublished fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction all year around through our Duotrope page.

Please introduce yourself with a brief biographical note and attach all of your pieces in a single file. Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but do inform us if a piece has been submitted elsewhere.

We aim to read and respond to all submissions within 4 months of receipt. Pieces received between 1 January and 31 July are more likely to be considered for the current issue than those received afterward.

Regarding work accepted for publication, we pay $150 per poem or flash fiction piece and $500 per short story or essay.
